Caption:The lyrics for A Chloris are an English translation of the original poem by Théophile de Viau you(1590-1626) a French poet active in the early 17th century with some slight adjustments to make it easier to sing in a modern pop style. I have taken care not to lose the fresh romantic sentiment of the original poem. The 19th-century French composer Raynaldo Harn (1874-1947) set the original poem to music for a song of the same name.
